My Hobbies!
My favorite hobbies are woodworking and scuba diving. I love to do woodworking as it gives me somethign to do with my hands and a sense of acoplshiment when I finish. As far as the diffrent types of woodworking I really love using power tools and jigs to accoplish my goal. In my opion though the best type of woodworking is woodturing, which involevves using a lathe (pictured right) which you mount your wood on and its spin realy fast as I use diffrent chisels and gouges to acheive perfectly cylidrical shapes like cups plates bowls ect. One of my favorite wood types to turn is deffinently cedar, not cause of looks or anything (though it is a beautiful wood) but mainly casue when turing you get the awsome smell of it and it turns extreamly smooth. One of my favorite projects is making custom pens! On the home page you saw an image of some difrent wood types pens, Unfortuanalty I was not the one who made thse and this is jsut a stock photo(casue I don't have any phots of mine) But I have made many similar pens to these with amny diffrent rare and exotic woods.
Scuba!
As you have read, my other pastime is scuba diving. I took lessons not too long ago and got certified in both regular and Nitrox diving. I first started diving about five months ago because my Dad has been doing it his whole life, and it has always been something I wanted to try for myself. Once I finally got the chance to learn and experience it, I quickly realized why he has enjoyed it for so long, and I tell everyone, No Regrets! Scuba diving is such a fun and unique way to explore parts of the world that most people never get the chance to see. Being underwater and seeing all of the fish, coral, plants, and other marine life up close is an experience that is hard to describe until you have actually done it yourself. Every dive can be completely different depending on where you are, how deep you go, and what you happen to find along the way. One of my favorite things about scuba diving is the feeling of being underwater, where everything seems quieter and more peaceful than it does on land. While underwater, I always feel free, almost like the rest of the world disappears for a little while and I can just focus on exploring and enjoying everything around me. Even though I have only been diving for about five months, it has already become something I really enjoy, and I am excited to keep gaining experience, exploring new dive sites, and seeing where scuba diving takes me in the future!
